My professional career journey began as an insurance agent where I quickly made my way to top ranking. My success resulted from listening to consumer needs and finding coverage that worked. After leaving insurance, I built success in self employment while still giving back to my community in civic leadership as a City Councilwoman.
As Insurance Commissioner, my mission is to foster a transparent and accountable relationship between consumers and carriers. I am committed to building a future where consumer education, sustainable competitive growth, and genuine grit and hard work are the cornerstones.
